BTW, instead of worrying about logos, just log
in to dafonts.com, pick something cool, download
it and just use that. Randomly clicking around
the Sci-Fi section gives you this:

I think the subtext is: if you use it on some media you
think will sell zillions, how about you pay me a
nominal fee. It's more a courtesy thing than a
contractual one. I'm sure most of those amature
font designers would be happy with a cream cake.

Also, half of those fonts - especially the film-themed
wingbat stuff - couldn't be more copyright-infringing
if they tried.

You just worry about getting people to actually
read your 'zine, sonny boy. Coochy coo, ga ga, here
comes the train - choo-choo!, etc.

I'm calling about the printing right now. It seems the world of printing is not quite as advanced as I thought it would be. It also appears that most of these places expect Joe Public to only be interested in printing out birthday invitations. A "magazine" confuses them a bit.

There's a world of difference between a repro house
and a copyshop, believe me. Most copyshops should
have lazer printers, though, which will staple your
pages together after printing them. It is basic
B/W printing we're taking about, right?
